A utility customer was utilizing a dated Kewanee hot water boiler that provided heat to the facility and also served as freeze-protection for their process.
With winter approaching, it was unsettling to the customer knowing that their only boiler could no longer provide reliable heat to the facility. When reliability is crucial, they needed a solution fast.
Energy Control, along with Wilkes Plumbing and Heating, were able to quickly supply and install a new Cleaver-Brooks ClearFire-CE 2500 MMBTU condensing hydronic boiler – that we had in stock – and 2 new hot water pumps.
Due to the new compact unit size, the overall footprint of the equipment was greatly reduced giving the facility some much-needed mechanical room space. More importantly, the efficiency increases that are found in condensing boiler designs like the ClearFire will save the customer money on energy costs for the duration of its life.
